You're not going to be short on connectivity either as the Panasonic dmr-ex773ebk comes with a variety of conenctivity options. To connect to your TV you can use one of two RGB enabled SCART sockets for easy connection of camcorders, TVs, and satellite decoders. These scart sockets can accept picture signals in high quality RGB format. Connecting a compatible DVD player or digital box/adapter via these sockets will therefore result in a better picture quality. There is a component video connection which delivers high quality picture resolution and can be used to connect a DVD player or Home Cinema system with a corresponding output to the TV. There is also a USB connection which you can connect to your PC to download music onto the Panasonic dmr-ex773ebk and a single HDMI connection which upscales to 1080p high definition picture resolution. Front audio and video inputs give you a simple way to connect a camcorder or games console without disturbing the device.
On the sound front, we have an optical connection for connecting to a Dolby Digital decoder for surround sound and 5.1 channel audio outputs for connection of 5.1 surround speaker system: Left, Right, Center channel, Rear Left, Rear Right and Subwoofer. Audio rendering is provided by a 14 bit video D/A converter with MPEG2 8-bit resolution to reduce obvious signs of digitizing, rendering the film closer to the original movie master, and 24 bit/96KHz audio sampling which converts the software audio signals, which differs from source to source, into the highest quality. In the case of Audio CD, this results in improved dynamic range and audio quality.
As well as playing back standard DVDs (both PAL and NTSC discs (region 2) on PAL TVs) and CDs (Audio, MP3 and JPEG images), the Panasonic dmr-ex773ebk will play a variety of digital formats including DIVX which allows DivX encoded tracks to be played back via CD-R or CD- RW with very little loss of quality. The Panasonic dmr-ex773ebk also benefits from progressive scan technology which scans individual picture lines in sequence rather than alternately, maximising the clarity of digital images.
